If there are 3 frogs on a log and one decides to jump off… How many are left?

Yes… this is a trick question!

Because there are still 3 frogs on the log.

You see… just because you make a decision if you don’t take action, everything is still the same.

I made a huge personal decision 5 years ago to change something, yet I never took action.

So I’m still stuck in a place where I don’t want to be. (More on that later.)

My “to do” list for today is filled with fun things because I’m packing to go to Chicago for a few days for the Empower Network event.

Have you ever declared something or set an intention…and it actually happened or came true?

A few years ago I gave my old Mini Van to my son because he just had his car repossessed, and he needed a way to get to work.

That left us with only 1 vehicle – my husband's 1996 Chevy Truck.

He had taken really good care of the truck and it was in great condition so I wasn't
embarrassed to drive it or anything like that…

But it left a lot to be desired when I wanted to go for a trip or take the grandkids anywhere…

… because only 3 people could fit in it.

So I decided to buy a new car.

After spending hours online researching SUVs and Crossovers… I decided on this Crimsom Red Buick Enclave.

Every time I saw a picture of it I knew I Had to Have It!

The only problem was…I didn't have $45,000 to buy it. In fact, I didn’t have any money saved at all to buy a car.

And since my credit sucked, I doubted if I could get a loan for it. Besides that… I didn't want to go back into debt.

I had just climbed out of bankruptcy and was loving my new ability to be able to pay
cash for everything.

I just NEEDED to find a way to make $45,000.

So I printed out a picture of my new car and taped it to a shelf right above my computer.

At this point I had decided that I wanted to buy a new car, and I set an intention for the exact car that I wanted… but I still didn't have a plan to get it.

As the months passed and turned into years… I started to Really Hate driving the old truck …

… plus whenever we wanted to take a trip or take the Grandkids with us, we had to rent a car.

I really needed a car – but I didn't want to settle for just any car… I wanted that Crimson Red Buick Enclave!

On Oct 1, I set an intention to buy my new Enclave within 30 days… and started taking action on reaching my goal.

By Oct. 31 – I had made progress but was still only about half way to my goal.

So I just extended my date… and kept working on getting the money.

On November 17th we decided to visit a few local car dealerships and see what they had in stock.

The very first dealership we stopped at had a bright shiny new Crimson Red Buick Enclave

… sitting right in front of the store.

I remember laughing and telling my husband they must have known I was coming… but they couldn't have because I never called any of the dealerships before we started our car shopping trip.

At this point I’ve been drooling over this car for about 2 years now.

So I take the Enclave out for a test drive… and of course, I fall in love with it.

As it turns out… this particular car was a dealer test car and already had a few thousand miles on it… so the purchase price was discounted….

… down to exactly what I could afford.

We signed the papers and I took my new car home.

All within 48 days of setting my intention to actually purchase a new car.

You see… wanting and wishing for something is whole lot different than setting an intention and taking action…

Because when you set an intention and start taking action, the Universe moves with you to make it happen.

In my case, it went something like this:

Intention + Attention = New Car

Had I known about the power of intention earlier, it wouldn't have taken me 2 years to get a new car…

Because once I set my intention to purchase the car, it showed up in less than 60 days.

The same thing happened to my friend Niamh.

Here are the top answers that came in from that questionnaire…

5. Travel

People were also encouraged to ask any questions they still had after watching The Secret.

The #1 question that was asked almost 1,000 times more than any other was:

"So what do I DO now?"

"So what do I DO now?" That’s the burning question most people want answered.

If you’ll notice … At the core of those top 5 desires… it seems like everyone today wants more money. It’s actually a universal desire, and it doesn’t matter if someone makes $25,000 or $250,000 a year, they still want more money.

Regardless of where people fall in the spectrum of money, there’s always a sense of “if I just had ‘this much more”, then I’d be set.

The only difference between $25,000 and $250,000 is the size of the cars, the homes and the toys. People are always striving to have more.

When it comes to our income and financial results in life, we all have a set of internal programming that dictates the results we realize, a “financial set point” if you will.

This programming is the result of our life’s experiences and influences that develop in our subconscious mind as we grow up. Most of this was deposited in our minds at an early age without our knowledge or consent.

It is this subconscious set point that determines where we fall on the money spectrum and why the grass always looks greener at the next pay level.

Want to know where your set point is?

It’s easy, just open your wallet or bank statement.

Chances are you’ve been hovering around that mark more or less for a good part of your life. Most of your inner circle of friends and associates are probably right there with you in the same social and economic state.

Most people just don’t have the internal programming to create and then hold onto large sums of money. They aren’t wired that way.

We’ve all heard about the “Average Joe” who wins the lottery and within a few years has lost it all. Another example is the professional athlete who makes more money playing ball for a few years than most people make in a lifetime and retires broke.

In other words, they simply returned to their set point. They never grew into the mindset of being wealthy.

On the other side of the coin is the multi-millionaire who’s lost it all, maybe more than once, only to become wealthy again. He’s also returned to his set point only in the opposite direction.

Sadly, most people never reach their true potential and succeed as they desire. The reason is simple and fixable.

By changing our thoughts and underlying belief systems we can change our set point and experience greater abundance.

We’ve all heard the computer slogan, “garbage in, garbage out”. Many people have a lot of mental garbage littered in the fertile soil of their mind.

They grow up in a money negative environment constantly being exposed to statements like, “money is the root of all evil”, “money doesn’t grow on trees”, “you have to work hard for money”, or “money doesn’t buy happiness”.

These are all poverty conscious statements and contribute to your subconscious programming about money.

These are weeds growing in your money garden. Until you weed them out you’ll continue to choke off the crop of prosperity you desire.

Whatever result you’re getting in any area of your life, either positive or negative, is a reflection of your inner self.

There is a saying, “if you don’t go within, you’ll go without”. The good news is you always have choice, and you can change from the inside out.

You can uninstall the old software and install a new program that will allow you to get better results, the results you desire.

Once you have re-adjusted your set point internally the outward result will manifest itself magnetically, with greater ease.

The first step to change is becoming aware of these unproductive internal programs.

Next is to understand that it’s not you. It came from outside of you and can be replaced with ways of thinking that serve you better.

Third … you have the power to separate yourself from the old way of thinking and choose to think in new ways in the present, based on who you are now.

Being “conscious” is about observing your thoughts and actions so that you can make choices in the present and not be ruled by past conditioning.

Finally you can learn techniques to create new neural pathways, thought patterns and belief systems that generate wealth.

You can't just think your way to success though. You have to put in consistent smart action.
